Quarter Life Freak Out | Panic at 27
Quarter Life Freak Out. Incremental Progress or Extended Metaphor. September 7, 2011. 8220;Progress is incremental.”. That sort of became my mantra at the beginning of summer, and it’s something I keep coming back to over and over. I don’t have to change everything at once, as much as I’d love to. That just leads to more failed attempts at change. That was the pride before the fall. So I’m taking it one apple at a time. I needed to be started in first gear, though. Spend time in first, second, third,...

QuarterLife Girl Gets Fit! | “Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.”
QuarterLife Girl Gets Fit! Beck Diet – Success Skills Tracking. Today’s rant: why am I not losing weight? On: March 17, 2010. That title is a little deceptive. I have been losing weight, albeit slowly. Here’s the thing: I’m in my second month of P90X, and I haven’t even hit the 5lb weight loss mark yet. I’m not blaming the program by any means….I know it’s all about what I’m eating….but, really? On top of that, I’m STILL not below the BF’s weight! 1 I feel thinner! 3 The flexibility I’ve gained is ...

Quarter life
Saturday, December 12, 2009. The most powerful poem I have yet to read. Out of the night that covers me,. Black as the Pit from pole to pole,. I thank whatever gods may be. For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance. I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance. My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears. Looms but the Horror of the shade,. And yet the menace of the years. Finds, and shall find, me unafraid. I am the master of my fate:.

Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Cogito ergo sum, maybe, but not Cogito ergo sunt. Which is to say, many think that given the vastness of the universe, there must be other forms of life (ala Drake's Equation. But the fact we exist is totally insufficient to assume any other life exists. It's like winning the Powerball lottery and then assuming a bunch of other people must have won it, too. Think about that. Posted by Found on Craigslist at 10:10 AM. Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Meta Idea of the Day: The Voice Mail.
