Another Runner: Races
http://www.anotherfnrunner.com/p/races.html
Shoe Reviews, etc. I'd originally conceived of this blog in order to keep track of my thoughts on the races I ran. Obviously, that concept developed into something a little larger, thereby mixing race reports with other thoughts on running. So, in order to keep things simple, this page serves as an index of my race history, which began in the Spring of 2010. Naturally, the links lead you to the relevant race report. 11/17/2012 : Raven Rock Rumble 10-Mile Trail Run : 1:17:28. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Shoe Reviews, etc. Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Merrell Pace Glove 2.0 Confessions: Review in the Guise of an Interview with a Transitionalist Minimalist. If the men's Trail Glove has a sister, it's the women's Pace Glove. And, mother Merrell would be remiss to update the former so splendidly without giving the latter a few tweaks and modifications. To. Update them both equally would be unfair. So, of course the women's Pace Glove gets the 2.0 treatment this Spring! And, like the sibling men's running shoes.

Another Runner: Altra Instinct 1.5 Review: Or, Who's Got Altra Mania?

Shoe Reviews, etc. Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Altra Instinct 1.5 Review: Or, Who's Got Altra Mania? The Altra Instinct 1.5. Hmm) is a zero-drop, amply cushioned shoe with a toe box wide enough for your toes to have a party. This update to the immensely popular original Instinct [1.0] is an excellent example of what so many shoe makers should have been doing for years: That is, Altra allowed the cushioning but ignored the heel lift. Let's hear it for zero drop! The Instinct 1.5 felt good! Being that I te...

Runchaser: Running Without Socks
http://www.runchaser.com/2012/08/running-without-socks.html
Wednesday, 12 September 2012. I always ran with socks, right up until about March 2012. I have to admit I have tried being sockless in the past, but not for running, usually on holiday somewhere warm. But my feet would end up sweaty and rub on my shoes causing blisters. I run sockless all the time now (maximum distance of twenty miles)and would recommend it to everyone. But it’s not all plain sailing, these are the advantages and disadvantages I have discovered. Running without socks makes my running sho...
