Monday, April 02, 2007. I was at a "sit and sew" at the LQS on Saturday night. This one is called "Stash Busters" and is an opportunity to work on a project of your choice with a teacher present to help with any problems or give advice if needed. It's fun because all the attendees participate by helping anyone who need it! And here are some visitors that we've had over the past week or so. Dumb mooses. They eat the good stuff, like the lilac bushes and apple trees. Shoo! Out if you like dishcloths. I...

I promise more later in the weekend. Stay tuned! Posted by Ms. Lance-a-lot at 8:29 PM. Links to this post. Tuesday, June 28, 2005.

Knitting E-scape: March 2007

Monday, March 26, 2007. Tim's birthday was yesterday, and he also got a hat. His was just a plain watch cap as well, in Patons classic wool "forest". Translates to camouflage. I'm hoping it will be a warm and useful item! I forgot to take a picture of it before it went in the mail, which is lame because it's been sitting in a ziploc bag on my project shelf for a month. Maybe Tim will photograph the hat and send me a picture! Maybe Katie can photo it on his head :-)! Links to this post. Links to this post.

Saturday, May 21, 2005. The first pair of socks on the left and #1 purple splendor on the right. Can you believe it? I obviously have some "work" to do on lighting. I am excited that a picture finally transferred! Now I know that the heel on the single purple splendor sock on the right looks like I must have mutant heels. I don't. It's a function of how I just plunked the sock down and snapped the photo in an attempt to attempt the process again. So now, onward! Posted by Ms. Lance-a-lot at 11:05 AM.

Friday, April 29, 2005. Slip, slip knit boo boo. Yesterday I cast on a. It's an easy, lacy pattern which includes lots of ssk stitches. I *thought* I knew how to perform that stitch, but was dreading doing them, since each round has 8 and ssk requires such a maneuvering process in order to knit the slipped stitches. I decided to double check the technique in my handy illustrated how-to book. Yikes. What I had been doing was. I discovered a good site called Knitter's Review. Links to this post. Hmmm What'...
