http://ayearoflivinggreener.blogspot.com/2010/11/we-will-remember.html
A Year of Living Greener. My journey to leave a smaller footprint on this earth. Thursday, November 11, 2010. Last night I realized that no matter what our opinions on the world today - this day is about young men and women, too. For those of you that have been reading this blog for some time, you may remember me mentioning the tiffin - that lovely little Indian food carry-all. It's essentially a set of stacking metal bowls that are locked together with a carrying handle. I bought one to use when I go to the cafeteria at work so that I could avoid styrofoam containers. Take a look, and if you think it...

A Year of Living Greener. My journey to leave a smaller footprint on this earth. Sunday, July 11, 2010. Does being green mean itchy rough towels? Ah, now that's a question for the masses! I've been trying to take advantage of the summer weather and my clothesline all at the same time. Washing everything in cold water and hanging it to dry is sure to help me in my pursuit of 'greenness', right? Am I doomed to itchy scratchiness every morning? Will my houseguests be rubbed raw? Enquiring minds want to know!

I thought I'd be sad about it, but as I'm tidying up I'm able to move things around a bit and begin to make plans for spring. I'm saving seeds from the things I liked and pulling those I didn't.
