Boston Marathon at 40. My Quest for the Holy Trail. Friday, April 30, 2010. I tapered big time this week! NO running. I was on the verge of catching a cold, and I fought it off! I know physically, I'm not as fit as I was in October for my last marathon, but health wise I'm doing substantially better! I do plan on running a short one this afternoon. The weather will be perfect for this race! For all my DailyMile and Colonial Road Runner friends running as well. HAVE A GREAT RACE! August 4, 2010 at 10:59 PM.

Boston Marathon at 40. My Quest for the Holy Trail. Friday, October 16, 2009. Race Manifesto - Updated. I will REST, REST, REST between now and the marathon. I will drink at least 8 cups of water a day before the marathon. I will eat food that will fuel my body. I will fill my thoughts with seeing 3:20 as I cross the finish line. Monday, 24 August 2009. But now it's time to really get back in to it. I had been thinking over the last week that I really missed the discipline of just getting on the mat - or into my trainers - in the morning. There's something therapeutic about it.
